Our Integrated Project to Improve Maternal and Child Health with a Focuson Nutrition in Mugu in western Nepal will be funded by the Austrian Development Agency for an additional three years.
The project aims to reduce maternal and child mortality in one of the poorest and least developed districts of Nepal, in particular by improving health services and nutrition for mothers and children in two rural municipalities. The project continues the ADA-funded framework programme in the region and is part of an integrated programme in the district which includes a nutrition and agriculture project that mainly aims to improve food security by introducing greenhouse vegetable gardening and improving small animal husbandry.
