Projects

In our projects, we are committed to a participative approach, i.e. beneficiaries and project communities are involved in planning, implementing and monitoring projects (e.g. in public audits) to promote project ownership and responsibility.

Our projects are implemented by our Nepali partner organisation PHASE Nepal, which means that we also create jobs for qualified, mostly young Nepali professionals. We fund our projects by means of a combination of unrestricted funds which we mainly generate from private donations, and with project funding from institutional (public and private) donors.

Geographically as well as thematically, our projects are part of the larger context of PHASE Nepal programmes. This is not only cost-effective, staff for instance can share living quarters, and project visits and supervision can be organised for several projects at once. Projects also have more impact in the context of integrated programmes and can benefit from synergies, so health, education and livelihoods interventions interlink to ensure sustainable change.
